Beads Of Beads is the only place that my girlfriends and I shop when we want handmade gifts for our friends, our families, and ourselves. We used to spend our weekends trudging through the local craft fair, but lately the prices have gone up, and it just is not as much fun anymore. It was always difficult to find a place to park, and lately some of the fairs have been charging a fee just to get through the door. The fairs and markets are overcrowded, and it is becoming increasingly difficult to tell if something is mass-produced or handmade. We had just about given up shopping for handcrafted beads and goods, but then I found Craft Showcase. It is like a boutique where you can find well-made items crafted by artisans who really care about their work.
These days, we get together and shop online in front of the big screen with a bottle or two of wine, a nice lunch and great conversation. Our Ladies night has become an afternoon of shopping, chatting, drinking, and eating. We would never be able to do this at a craft and bead fair. Sure, you can buy food at the fairs, but it is always overpriced. We get together every Saturday and alternate locations. Everybody brings groceries; we prepare our lunch, and sit down in front of the big screen to see what is new at Beads Of Beads. Last week we all decided it was time to treat ourselves instead of buying gifts for our families as we always do we bought rings with beads, and some darling bead picture frames.
I bring my own bags when I go grocery shopping, and found a darling striped Handmade Bag. It works double duty, because I can also use it as a purse. One of the other gals bought a gorgeous turquoise necklace, while another purchased some original photography.
